For over 45 years, Covenant House New York (CHNY) has been a leader in providing residential services to vulnerable homeless, runaway, and exploited youth.
“Covenant House New York’s mission is to help each young person find safety and refuge from the dangers of living on the streets. We do this through compassion, unconditional love and absolute respect.”
DESA launched its monthly charity donation initiative in October where we select a different charity each month to donate to.
US Thanksgiving is upon us today, and many of us are being reminded of how much we are blessed while surrounded by loved ones. Thanksgiving is a time of reflection, family memories and sharing that bond that the holidays bring. It is easy for many of us to see what we are thankful for, however this is not always the case for everybody. Let’s remember to be kind, compassionate and extend a generous act to someone experiencing a challenging time in their life.
We would like to invite those who can to follow in our footsteps to make a difference and choose a charity each month to donate too, no donation is too little and every dollar counts! Or feel free to follow DESA’s lead and donate to the charity we choose monthly!
